Jon has been repairing stringed instruments for over thirty years, since opening the shop in 1981. His particular interests lie in Martin flat top guitars, banjos and the amplification of acoustic instruments. Jon is a regular guest lecturer at the Roberto-Venn School of Lutherie in Phoenix, Arizona, and is a member of the advisory committee for the school. Several years ago, Jon was asked to write the curriculum currently in use for the repair section of the course.
